2nd semester… the beginning

Saturday, November 19th, 2005

I finally met my professors.. well most of them at least. I’ve got this Kom2 that almost gave me a heart attack. Thank God I met the professor yesterday and he said that our class will not be dissolved. EEEEESH! I hate these kind of stresses. hehe..

Oh well… anyway. Back to my 2nd sem adventures. I found out that I wasn’t a lucky picker when it comes to choosing sections to take:

Environmental Science
This is the best subject I have picked. Although I doubted it at first (mainly because they say it was boring), but now, after discovering the humor of prof de Jesus, I’m confident that I can enjoy the subject all semester.

Mathematics 53
Although the subject would often cower the unwilling math hater, my prof, Sir Castronuevo, makes it look very simple (for the introductory part at least). He’s not as humorous as prof de Jesus, but his teaching skills are superb!(wish ko lang tuloy tuloy). Well he’s technically nicer than my previous math teacher Ms Rosales. However, Ma’am mia’s artistic side of drawing graphs of functions quickly surpasses that of Sir Castronuevo. But stillm he’s amuzing!

Chemistry 16 lec

This is where my luck ends. An hour and a half of lecture with prof Llorente would disspell the values of teaching(no offense).. Well, I like her projector lecture, but then she just, most of the time, reads what’s in the white board. It’s not really bad. I envy my friend’s professors.. I saw them once in their class na naglalaro sila para makarecite..

Chemistry 16 Lab
Terror prof? Well, I’d call him strict, but nevertheless he still has the essence of being terrorific. We have a big classroom and only 17 of us. Ganda sana ng air but then the air becomes a sleeping gas. He’s not really a fun prof. Kind like lumalabas ang kanyang "pagkamilitary" na accent.. o well. At least I can tell he’s an intelligent prof. But not really my type. I almost fell asleep!!! Oh yeah, one more thing, he has a tendency to become "bolex".

Grabe!!! Ang Boring!!! Korny! Mabagal! and well, not really suited for me. Kasi I can see my classmates enjoyment. What I am amused about this prof (which keeps me awake) is that he dances while he teaches. He smiles and that’s good. Pero hindi consistent. Pababa ang kanyang energy graph. Bwahahaha.. And he’s really kinda slow sa pagtuturo… huhu

Komunikasyon 2
O hayan. He’s not so bad sa totoo lang. He has the chance to be my 2nd choice proff for this sem. DI sya nakakantok, which is great, considering his class is 4:00-5:30 in the afternoon…

See yah!

I’ve often wondered why staying in school presents more fun than staying inside the house. And sometimes, I don’t even see them at all. However, still, I’d find myself feeeling a lot more "at home" in this institution. I guess, we really do change wether we like it or not. This must be what college transforms us into. From the little "feebly" mama’s boy to the independent (sometimes  anti-parent), mature (ehem!), and  out going  monsters.

There’s another thing that I discovered. Whenever you reach a major transition in my life, something weird happens. Im only a freshman, only 6 months old in UP. But that has been enough to put me in this kind of state where I’m torn between my old ties and this new one. You won’t really notice it coz it’ll only be a short while. But then, if you’re observant enough, you’ll see that there are times you can be confused over things that usually you can easily give a decision to. There are these completely independent forces (in my case, my younger, timid, shy high school self and my new, more mature, out going, reckless, idiotic, personality) that continuously pull on you from both sides. When you reach the point where these forces are equal in strength, that’s the time where chaotic malfunctions occur in your system.

However, like I said, this will only be for a short while. The more you spend time in this new home, the more you will forget the old one. This would mean new things to enjoy, new works to acccomlish, new gigs to liken, new visions for what is beautiful(optional). And of course, you’ll find old ways to be boring; fun to watch but not really exciting to do.

And so, as I say "see yah" (not "good bye") to my old self, I’m hoping that I’ll find this new thing in me as pleasing as I hoped it to be. Change is so goood!

whew!

Hmm.. ever had the feeling of victory after a long day of stressful hardwork? Well I just did! Tapos na ang prerog!! hehe, wala lang.. and I still feel lucky sa mga subjects ko…

Hmm.. bakit kaya ganun?

Hahahaha!!

Pero prooud ako sa school na ‘to! as in. Kaya pagbalik ko ng Baguio, taas noo. Hehe.. Okay, balik sa prerog. First time ko kasi eh. Bwahahahahahha!!!!

I-summer class ko na lang kaya… Pero sayang eh. Masmagandang I-summer mga majors… hehe

Yey! at last nagalaw ko rin ang friendster! haha.. tamang tamang reward after all the hardships!!
